The Great Taste Awards are the now established as the benchmark food awards for the British Isles. The 2010 Awards saw more entries than ever before with 6021 products blind-tasted, tested and discussed over an intense, two-month judging period by 350 judges. One, two and three Gold Star awards were handed out to 1576 deserving products. Organised by the Guild of Fine Food, the judging process is rigorous and teams are balanced in terms of experience, background and even gender and each entry is independently proven to be of the highest standard.
This year, exclusively for the Abergavenny Food Festival, Sat Bains will be creating and demonstrating some special dishes using ingredients from the Great Taste Awards regional and national award-winning products including the Supreme Champion Trophy winner.
The event will showcase not only the very best of British produce but the creativity of this extraordinary chef and will take place in the Market Hall at the Robert Price Kitchen Stage on Sunday 19 September at 2.00pm. Free to holder of the Six-Venue Stroller Ticket.
