Chocolatier Paul A Young – who gave a tutored tasting at last year’s festival – has won the prestigious ‘Best Chocolate Book in the World’ award for his first cookbook ‘Adventures with Chocolate’ at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards recently held in Paris.

George Makkas is a former AFF in-house photographer who won the Observer Hodge Award for documentary photography in 2002. His current project in Poland is a work in progress looking at families and food habits. For a real insight into their daily lives – and some great home recipes too – check out his blog.
